What is it?

We borrow the definition from the website OLK (One Launch Kiteboarding), a real reference in terms of teaching and coaching in kitesurfing:

“The downwind consists in kitesurfing down the coast following the wind direction. It’s a very pleasant way to go for a walk and discover the coastline while gliding on your kiteboard. If this exercise seems quite easy and accessible, it is nevertheless important to have a minimum of ease in the practice of kitesurfing and to set up a minimum of logistics and supervision.

Brazil has 8500 km of oceanic coastline and its Nordeste region is recognized as one of the best kite spots in the world. That’s why Brasil Downwind is located in Paracuru.

The coastline of this region has unique characteristics with winds parallel to the coast that strengthen as they rise towards the north up to 30 knots.
A real pleasure for the kiteboarders who just have to follow the trade winds, in side on, on more than 400km of coastline.

A team of passionate people

Alain Bronner and Dinaja Nocrato soares (dixit Lalim) are two high level sportsmen, passionate about kitesurfing and board sports. Certified IKO instructors, they form a solid, expert and cheerful team, well known in the organization of Downwind and the teaching of good kitesurfing practices for international groups. They speak 5 languages

A recognized method

We are proud to belong to the OLK network which was founded by Philippe Ancelin, a passionate and expert kiteboarder. This network has been referring French-speaking and competent partner instructors for more than 10 years. There are now 31 schools that have the O.L.K. ” One Launch Kiteboarding ” label (including the Kite House in Pontal de Maceio) and that use a method internationally recognized for its safe, precise and educational approach.

Travelling differently

A good knowledge of the coast allows you to optimize your trip according to the weather conditions, the tides, the size of the group and the level of practice of the instructors.

You want to enjoy a bay a little longer? No problem, we can modify the schedule. Your physical condition is not top! No problem, the 4X4 drives next to us, take a break and take it a little further!
